Ideal Home Show - 2023

The Interiors Association had a strong presence at the Spring Ideal Home Show, kindly sponsored by Industry Partner Albany Décor. Together with interior designers Maggie Brady of Pearl Redesigns, Rosemarie Carroll of RCD Design, and Helena Cousins of Zinc Interiors and supported by industry partners Havwoods, Interie, Smallmans, OR Bespoke, AH Interiors, Oriana B, National Lighting, Mason Automation and CWF - we created a stand that was a great success.

The designers worked closely with these partners to incorporate their products and services into their design schemes resulting in  three stunning  room sets. This collaboration demonstrates one of the many benefits of IA membership and we look forward to further successes in the same vein.

Our designers commented:

"Being a member of the IA is a great support & resource for interior designers, especially as sole traders, it offers great opportunities for collaboration, learning & growing in design skills & business." - Rosemarie

"Having the support of the IA has been invaluable. As designers it was great knowing that we were all working in a collaborative way with an end goal to show what we can do!" - Helena

" As a member of The Interiors Association, it was a wonderful opportunity to be a part of something bigger for a weekend, collaborating with the other members and designers and building great friendships. Getting to know our partners, B2B and what they offer is such a benefit when offering these products and services to our clients. Sole traders don’t always get the opportunity to work together and bounce ideas around and the industry support is important for small businesses. This weekend was a great success and I encourage anyone who is considering joining the IA to join, come along to one of our events and see what it’s all about."  - Maggie

"Being part of the IA is fantastic support when you do not have a design team at hand. The industry support & connections it introduces are so important in developing our industry as a professional body. ' - Vyvyan Byrne, VB Designs, stand co-ordinator

"From my experience so far, it’s great to be able to network with people within the interiors industry, share knowledge and feel like you’re a part of something.  Love the away days getting to know people and the camaraderie. " Sarah, Retwiggd, stand co-ordinator

Designer members trip to Dulux Colour Academy and Willie Duggan Lighting - February 2023

2023 got off to a fantastic start with a trip for members to Cork and Kilkenny. We had an early start and with a mid morning stop off at the Storeyard in Portlaoise before reaching the Dulux Academy in Cork. There was an informative learning session and then we got hands on, experimenting with all things colour including the Dulux Heritage range, guided by colour guru Cora Collins. An interesting and entertaining trip with samples and advice aplenty, we were sorry  to have to leave!

Our trip then continued to the amazing Willie Duggan Lighting in Kilkenny, where Monica, Willie & team began our visit with a tour of their inspirational showroom. They have a wonderful purpose built demonstration area & classroom where we got to learn all about lighting. We highly recommend a visit & we are looking forward to retuning for the lighting masterclass!

Designers Day Out - 2022

Our first live event since 2019 happened on the 22nd June 2022, where Interiors Association members were treated to a full day event hosted by a number of our Industry Partners. The Designers day out was a resounding success - we met, we laughed, we listened, we learned. A fabulous day with so many highlights - the paint matching wizadry at Kraftsmann, the quiz at Floor Design on all things wood, lunch amid the stunning tiles at Project, the warehouse tour at Cosentino - complete with fiery demonstration! Artist Clemence Prosen and Paola from Ninfa Studios displayed stunning work at two of the venues and we enjoyed gourmet treats at every stop.

Some of our lucky members walked away with super spot prizes kindly gifted from a host of industry partners - Krafstmann, Floor Design, Jackie Tyrrell Design, Glamdolls, Copperfish Lighting, Scatterbox and Cosentino.

We were truly treated like VIPs and would like to extend our sincere thanks to the companies who made the day so special.
