Many thanks Serena Kitt for organising the wine and cheese tasting at the Dublin Bar Academy last Friday evening. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening as our knowledgeable Sommelier, Anka, brought us through some of the different varieties of grapes from around the world. She also explained which food pairings worked well with which particular grape varieties.
It was amazing to experience the wines and to learn how certain food types prolonged the flavour of the wine on the palette. We even learned that wine had legs!
It was a wonderful evening and a great opportunity chance to get to know everyone over some delicious wine, food and a refreshing white port aperitif.
